I would like to thank all of the home owners that opened up their gardens this year for the Grandmont Garden Tour. I joined the Grandmont Garden Club in 2002. I was new to the neighborhood and wanted to work with others that loved flowers like me.
It was a very small group of us, we wanted to share our gardens with the community. So that year we had a garden tour that was basically the garden club members’ gardens. It was free for anyone in the community to attend.
As time went on we decided to charge only $5.00 and donate the profits to the GCA Scholarship Fund, for Grandmont Students going to college. With the support of the community. This year we were able to donate $958.00 after expenses.
I look forward to reaching out to homeowners in our community. Grandmont, Rosedale Park, Grandmont #1 and North Rosedale Park for next year’s garden tour. If you have a beautiful yard and would like to share it with the community. Please contact me so our members can come check your yard out.
