On May 3rd, the Motor City Makeover brought neighbors and volunteers together at 15007 Archdale Lot from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a lively, hands-on effort to beautify the community.
The day was packed with activity: Disassembling and moving planters
Stabilizing existing Grandmont posts and installing missing ones
Planting fresh flowers, shrubs, and trees
Cleaning out flower beds and removing debris, old shrubs, dead plants, and sticks
It was a true team effort, with people rolling up their sleeves to transform the space into something beautiful and welcoming.
A huge thank you goes out to Waste Management, who generously provided a Port-a-Potty, as well as hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, water, and all the fixings to keep the volunteers fueled and hydrated.
To top it all off, the addition of a grill and some great music turned the day into more than just a cleanup — it became a mini celebration. Laughter, conversation, and the smell of food on the grill filled the air, making it a truly memorable experience.
Together, we made a real impact, showing once again what can happen when the community comes together with purpose and heart. Thank you to everyone who showed up, pitched in, and helped make the day a success!
