As winter fast approaches, there is a significant need for donations of hats, gloves and mittens to help those in need stay warm. The Grandmont Community Association Youth & Education Committee (GCAYE), in partnership with Mittens for Detroit, hosted its annual Hat & Glove Collection on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 10am to 2pm at Ramsay Park.
On a cool but clear day, GCAYE committee members and volunteers were in good spirits thanks to the generousity of the “Good Neighbors” of Grandmont and the surrounding five communities who walked up or drove up to donate hats, gloves and mittens for the students at Edison Elementary School.
Special Thanks to our Community Partners: Craft Car Care, Cutz Lounge | The Grooming Shop, Elias Donuts, Grandmont-Rosedale Development Corporation, Hardware Express and Royal Fresh Market for hosting hat, glove and mitten collection boxes during the month of November.
